Mashi Hewage is Clinical Nurse Supervisor/Director of Nursing at the Touching Lives house. As the clinical nurse supervisor, she provides executive leadership and strategic direction for licensed and unlicensed care providers. Her role also includes monitoring treatments, devising care plans, and providing medical care for the residents.
Mashi completed her nursing degree from Rasmussen University. She has experience in nephrology nursing and working as a chronic and acute hemodialysis nurse. Mashi has also volunteered in many medical missions since she started as a nursing student.
Mashi believes that delivering nursing care to a person is an honor, and is passionate about nursing as a profession. She’s a strong advocate for our residents who is always working to enhance the setting and promote excellent patient care and outcomes while promoting a healthy environment.
Her experience as a clinical nurse supervisor and educator have shaped her practice to work with residents and families and teach them about maximizing their health. In addition to her professional work Mashi loves being a wife and a mother to her daughter.
She enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with family. She also likes to stay active and enjoy yoga and working out.
